Need a space to focus on your research and study?
Research carrels are provided for HKU higher degree students who are enrolled in Master's or Doctoral programs. These carrels can be booked for a half-month period and are conveniently located in the Main Library and some branch libraries. They are accessible during the opening hours of the respective spaces.

Discussion rooms, Concept and Creation rooms, AV group viewing rooms, and other collaboration areas are available in Main Library and branch libraries.

Need a space for study?
You can find a variety of single study spaces for private and reflective research in the Main Library and branch libraries. Examples include study tables and single study rooms.
Need to use a computer?
Computers are available in Main Library and branch libraries. There are over 100 computers with Internet connection and software applications in support of study and research. Some popular software applications include Microsoft Office, EndNote, SPSS, and NVivo.

Need to scan, print or photocopy?
You can find photocopiers, printers, and scanners in the Libraries.
They operate in the uPrint system, a quota-based system using the HKU staff/student/facilities access card for printing and photocopying on campus.

The Tech@Ingenium is a space for experiencing and conceptualizing creative ideas with workstations equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR). Concept and Creation Rooms are available for users to conduct individual or group brainstorming sessions and idea generation.
The Library Innovation Centre is the creative, collaborative and educational space which provides access to advanced software, emerging technologies and production equipment. You can find Editing Rooms, Digital Interactive Lab, 3D Scanners, 3D Printers, Laser Engraver & Cutter, Vinyl Cutter and more.
