Suspension of Access to ICPSR Membership Data

by Learning and Research Services HKUL on 2025-04-11T17:27:00+08:00 in Database news | 0 Comments

As informed by the database provider, a new regulation by the United States Government, Executive Order 14117, titled "Preventing Access to Americans' Bulk Sensitive Personal Data and U.S. Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern," will take effect on 8 April, 2025, aims to restrict access to sensitive data.

The database provider is required to suspend our access to data under ICPSR membership until further notice. However, data in the free collections on the ICPSR webpage that do not require membership will continue to be available.

Thank you for your understanding.
