Dear Staff and Students,

Join us for an engaging seminar, "Publishing with the Microbiology Society and Editors Spotlight: Meet the Scientists Behind the Journal of General Virology," featuring Prof. Paul Durplex, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of General Virology since January 2020. This journal, with over 50 years of history in publishing peer-reviewed research, is dedicated to supporting the global virology community through collaborations with partners like the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV). During the seminar, you will gain insights into the diverse and evolving field of virology, spanning research on animal, plant, insect, bacterial, and fungal viruses, as well as molecular biology, immunology, and virus-host interactions. Discover what it takes to publish impactful research and hear directly from the scientists shaping the journal's contributions to this vital area of microbiology.
