What is ORCID

What is ORCID?

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a persistent unique identifier that follows an individual throughout their career, and it is composed of a group of 16-digit-numbers (e.g. 0000-0003-2164-3964) that could distinguish you from other researchers. ORCID records hold information including name, email, organization, and research outputs such as publication, grants, patents and other scholarly works, connecting your contributions across disciplines and countries to you.
