Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful summer break and are prepared to begin a new academic year.

To support your teaching and learning in HKU, the Law Library would like to draw your attention to the following events and resources:

  • Webinars on Lexis & Westlaw

You are cordially invited to join our online webinars on Lexis and Westlaw in October.  Specialist trainers from Lexis and Westlaw will introduce essential skills needed to search effectively in their databases.  To register, please sign up at: http://lib.hku.hk/cgi-bin/course/list_gp_m.cgi?category=43.  Online meeting details will be sent to participants 3 working days prior to the webinar.

(A)  Lexis Day for Law Students (5 October, 1:00pm – 2:00pm)

  • Law LibGuides

We have revamped our LibGuides (also known as Subject Guide) to facilitate your research in the Libraries’ electronic resources and collection, complimented with selected reputable internet sources. You are welcome to check it out to reinforce the use of Libraries’ materials on different topics.

 

  • EndNote

EndNote is a citation management software that is widely used by students and researchers to organize references, cite sources while writing papers, and create bibliographies. You are encouraged to join the eLearning@HKUL: Manage Citation with EndNote, to master the skills in using the software as an aid to your study here. You may also find some additional tips on using EndNote in law [here], such as Cite with Endnote (in OSCOLA style).
