Where are the Libraries?

The HKU Libraries consist of the Main Library and six branch libraries, namely: Dental LibraryFung Ping Shan LibraryLui Che Woo Law LibraryMusic LibraryTin Ka Ping Education Library, and Yu Chun Keung Medical Library.

Need a space for discussion and collaboration?

Discussion rooms, Concept and Creation rooms, AV group viewing rooms, and other collaboration areas are available in Main Library and branch libraries.

In Main Library, the Collaboration Zone at Level 3 provides an environment that fosters group discussion. The centre area of the zone is open clusters for group discussions.  It has 19 discussion rooms, each equipped with state-of-the-art technology.  You can reserve these rooms for a maximum of 2 hours per day.

Need a space for quiet study?

You can find a variety of single study spaces for private and reflective research in the Main Library and branch libraries. Examples include study tables, single study rooms, and study tables in the Deep Quiet Room.

With a variety of single study places, the Study Zone at Level 3 of Main Library serves as an ideal place for private and reflective research.The Deep Quiet Room is ideal for quiet study — Not even computers, mobile phones or other audiovisual equipment are allowed!

Need to use a computer?

Computers are available in Main Library Level 3 as well as branch libraries. There are over 100 computers with Internet connection and software applications in support of study and research. Some popular software applications include Microsoft Office, EndNote, SPSS, and NVivo.

Need to scan, print or photocopy?

You can find photocopiers, printers, and scanners in the Libraries.

They operate in the uPrint system, a quota-based system using the facilities access card for printing and photocopying on campus. It supports both networked and wireless printing.
