This is a courtesy message notifying you that WRDS is launching WRDS Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) by Duo Security.
To better protect your data–as well as our data–from unauthorized access, WRDS will require two-factor authorization from all users. Duo Security is recognized as an industry standard and designed to be a simple and secure method for enhancing security.
The WRDS 2FA security enhancement will launch in two phases. The first phase applies to all website logins. Web users may enroll in WRDS 2FA starting November 28th, with 2FA enrollment required for web logins on December 5th. The second phase of WRDS 2FA will apply to all SSH connections in early 2023.
