What is Zoom-a-Librarian?

Through Zoom-a-Librarian you can get assistance on:  

  • Library services
  • Database selection and search strategies
  • Finding materials for study and research
  • Accessing library materials, e.g. e-Books, articles online
  • Using a research tool, e.g. Endnote, Browzine, Turnitin
  • Advice on citation styles

During the session, you or the library staff on duty can share your screen or send a file via chat to facilitate the communication.

When does it operate?

Service hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday (except holidays).

How to set up for connection?

You will need to download and install Zoom.  Please visit the Zoom User Guide at the Information Technology Services for more details.  Please also test your computer or device audio prior to connection.  

Will I immediately be able to talk to a library staff upon connection?

Once connected, you will enter the waiting room.  If there is a queue, please be patient.  We will talk to you soon.
