Find scores

Scores Collection is the primary material for the study of music. Music Library has different kinds of scores that are organized in the following manner:

  • Western Scores and Western Large Scores by Composer’s last name + the Dewey Decimal Classification system
  • Anthologies and Reference Scores by the Dewey Decimal Classification system
  • East Asian Scores, East Asian Large Scores and East Asian Reference Scores by the Library of Congress Classification system

  • HKUL: Print and e-books, journal and newspaper titles, theses, audio-visual materials and more.
  • HKALL: Collections in all 8 UGC-funded university libraries.

Step 1 : Search for a score

1. Sign in to manage your account (recommended).

2. Enter a keyword / keywords e.g. Mozart's magic flute and choose "HKUL".



Step 2 : Display search results

3. Look for the most number of MULTIPLE VERSIONS.


Step 3 : Refine search results

4. Go to Refine results to limit your results, i.e. Scores, for this case.

5. Click in a score for more information.
